Children’s oral health has been at the forefront of the Association of Dental Group’s (ADG) work in recent years, and will continue to remain a priority throughout 2018.

The Association keenly supports and advocates a range of campaigns, including the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire based programme, Teeth Team, which has grown rapidly in the last year.

With the support of Simplyhealth, Teeth Team is now supporting more children across the UK than ever before, and is helping to make a positive difference where it matters the most. Based on results published in its 2017/18 Annual Report, Teeth Team aims to draw on last year’s experiences and reaffirm its commitment to reducing oral health inequalities by pursuing four strategic aims:

  • Support more children in areas of social and economic deprivation
  • Engage with the dental community
  • Collect data to evidence the positive impact of the programme
  • Promote the oral health preventative treatment agenda
