Lorraine Lockhart, Practice Manager of Uddingston Dental Care in Scotland, introduced the CS R4+ practice management software from Carestream Dental to the practice about 6 months ago.
“Having used the CS R4+ software in the past, I had been really keen to introduce it to the practice for some time. Our previous practice management software was out-dated, it didn’t provide any reporting capabilities, was expensive and the customer service was poor.
“We installed CS R4+ about 6 months ago and I have been very pleased with the results. Even members of staff who had no previous experience with it have quickly found the system easy to use.
“The Springboard feature is particularly valuable. I really like the recall facilities, which automate our recalls while incorporating the text messaging service we had used before. The occupancy reports are also great as we can use these to maximise time during the day. Further to this, the KPI showing treatment plans without booked appointments is helpful as it shows outstanding plans and the potential cost of these, enabling us to follow up with the relevant patients.
“We now run all our reports weekly and use them to make sure our patient records and recalls are always up-to-date, and patients who require appointments are contacted at the right time.
“The support and customer service from Carestream Dental has been phenomenal throughout the initial installation and training process. We can just pick up the phone with any queries we have and there is always someone to provide a quick and efficient solution – the team is always very helpful.
“The Springboard training event we attended a few months ago was a good example of the service we have received – the free event was very worthwhile and I took away loads of information. In particular, I was interested to see how we could use the software to send mail marketing, which I hope to use to promote our facial aesthetics services.
“I would absolutely recommend CS R4+ software to others – it is cheaper and better than our previous system and the customer support is amazing.”
