About his session “Occlusion – it’s an emergency” in the BDA Theatre at the British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show, Specialist Prosthodontist Riaz Yar comments:
“Occlusion is an essential aspect of dentistry and is relevant all the time. We must consider occlusion because it affects our daily clinical practice. The main issue we see is clinicians not fully assessing the occlusion before they start dental treatment. They will therefore be unsure of the endpoint and rely purely on patient feedback, which has its limitations.
“I will share my protocol for overcoming the challenges commonly faced with regards to occlusal management. I hope delegates will leave with information on how to confirm to the simple protocol for safe treatment delivery.”
