A community for learning and support

There has never been a more important time for community and a sense of togetherness. We may have spent a significant time physically apart this year, but communication and connection has never been so crucial. Being a part of something offers peace of mind, as well as a source of support. Being able to discuss experiences with and seek guidance from fellow dental professionals has always helped to raise standards across the board. It also facilitates the sharing of best practice and, ultimately, paves the way for better patient care.

For dental professionals interested in or already involved in the dental implant arena, the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) is the go-to organisation for information and support. Established in 1987, this is an unbiased membership association which has the needs of its members at the heart of everything it does.

An inclusive network

With more than 2,400 members, the ADI provides an inclusive community of dental professionals, from dentists to dental nurses, practice managers, dental hygienists, dental therapists, and dental technicians. That means there is always someone to turn to with any questions or concerns. Plus, there will be many people who have been through the same challenges and situations as you, so there is lots of opportunity to share experiences and learn from each other. Ultimately, the ADI offers a trusted network for support.

Dentinal Tubules

ADI members receive Premium membership to Dentinal Tubules. This provides access to more than 1,000 hours of educational videos and other content, enabling professionals to update and refresh their CPD from the comfort of their own home. A wide spectrum of topics is covered from clinical to business and core compliance subjects. As such, the platform supports the design and implementation of intelligent Personal Development Plans (iPDP), helping individuals progress their skills and advance their careers in an effective and convenient way.

Webinars

Adding to the online educational opportunities available, the ADI offers a selection of webinars on key subjects. Leading lights from the industry share a wealth of information and essential insights, with sessions designed to improve delegates’ knowledge and understanding. All the webinars are CPD accredited and are added to the website throughout the year for members to access free of charge, whenever and from wherever they wish.

ADI Members’ Only Facebook Page

Offering yet another easy and convenient way to stay in touch with other people, regardless of geographic location, social media has really come into its own in recent months. The ADI Members’ Only Facebook page is therefore a highly valuable asset for all colleagues within the ADI to communicate. Whether you’re reviewing past cases and seeking advice or discussion from peers, looking for recommendations on future training courses or offering guidance and reassurance to colleagues who need a little support, the Facebook group is the perfect platform to do so.

Journals

Also included in ADI membership is access to two leading professional publications – online access to Clinical Oral Implants Research (COIR) and a hard copy of the EDI Journal. Members can therefore read up on the latest clinical techniques and concepts, keeping up-to-date with new ideas.

Educational events

Once things start getting back to normal, the ADI provides an array of world-class educational events for all members of the team involved with dental implantology. The highlight of 2021 will be the ADI Team Congress, where delegates will get the opportunity to hear from some of the leading professionals in the field from round the globe. Entitled “The Great Debate – Current Dilemmas in Dental Implantology”, the event will provide different sides to key topics affecting professionals today. A unique mix of presentations and moderated discussions will critically appraise emerging clinical techniques, championing evidence-based dentistry and helping all in attendance to enhance the services delivered to patients.

Aside from the ADI Team Congress 2021, the ADI also offers a selection of ADI Study Clubs, the ADI Members’ National Forum, ADI Focus Meetings and ADI Masterclasses, all of which provide a chance to learn and network with colleagues working within the dental implant field. Many events also present an opportunity to connect with ADI company members, who provide information and advice on relevant products and technologies as well.
