The British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT) held its Annual General Meeting on November 19th 2020.

As well as wishing a fond farewell to President Julie Deverick, the meeting focused on the aims of the Society moving forwards.

Top priorities for 2021 include campaigning for dental hygienists and dental therapists to receive chairside support from dental nurses, furthering progress on the Exemptions campaign and launching a new Mentorship & Coaching Programme in the spring.

Diane Rochford, incoming BSDHT President, says:

“Julie has set many balls rolling in her time as President which I fully intend to keep rolling. There is much work to be done to ensure these projects continue and some will hopefully reach a conclusion that will be for the greater good of our members, the profession and ultimately patients.”
