The British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) creates and supports an array of educational opportunities for clinicians interested in ethical cosmetic dentistry. Among these are Recommended Meetings held throughout the year, with experts in their fields leading theoretical and practical courses.

On 28th September 2024 in Newcastle, Dr Ken Harris will be running a session entitled “Practical Occlusion: Putting the Theory into Practice”. He will be cutting through the confusion to help colleagues deliver restorative dentistry in real-world general dental situations.

Delegates will learn:

  • The limitations and frustrations of conventional undergraduate occlusion teaching
  • The importance of achieving a consistent mandibular hinge axis before creating a restorative treatment plan
  • To ensure a correctly balanced occlusal scheme
  • The relevance of a stable and precise envelope of function and achieving anterior guidance
  • A simple three-step protocol based on the teaching of Dr John Kois

BACD members can join for as little as £1 and non-members are welcome too. To find out more about the session and to book, please visit the website.
