Dentaid The Dental Charity and Working Feedback are celebrating a significant milestone together as part of efforts to bring dental care to those in under-served communities across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
More than 1,500 patients have now left impartial reviews of their experiences on board Dentaid’s mobile dental units since March 2024.
To mark the occasion, Dentaid CEO Andy Evans received a special certificate from John Cade Pemberton, Managing Director of Working Feedback, at the Dentistry Show at ExCeL in London in October.
The relationship forms part of an ongoing project between Dentaid and NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight to provide dental care for people facing health inequalities and those exempt from paying NHS charges, who have often struggled to access traditional dental services.
Those who can access care include families experiencing poverty and social deprivation, people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, looked-after children, people who are supported by Dentaid’s partner charities and people who are referred to Dentaid by partner organisations.
Treatments available include dental and oral cancer screenings, extractions, fillings emergency care and oral health advice. Patients can also be referred to hospitals and other dentists if they require further assistance.
Reaction to Dentaid’s services has been overwhelmingly positive, with more than 95% of patients leaving a review on Working Feedback’s website rating their experience as 5 stars . Many have shared their gratitude at the care received and how they felt listened to and cared for during their visit.
Andy Evans, CEO of Dentaid the Dental Charity, said:
“Working Feedback’s system makes it easy for our dentists and teams to send over patient feedback requests by text or by email, and means we can find out patients’ thoughts on exactly how their visits went as soon as they have left.
“It feels good to read how much of a difference our work can have for patients in real need.
“We’re looking forward to hearing more inspiring and grateful comments in the future.”
John Cade Pemberton, Managing Director of Working Feedback, said: “Reaching 1,500 patient reviews marks a significant milestone that highlights both the reach and the positive impact of Dentaid’s work across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
“Patient feedback provides valuable data that helps measure performance, enhance service delivery, and drive continuous improvement. It is commendable to see how Dentaid actively leverages these insights to strengthen access to dental care for those who need it most.
“We are proud to support such a purposeful and high-impact initiative.”
