BOC 2026 Set to Shine in Brighton With Three Days of Vibrant Orthodontic Learning

The organisers of BOC 2026 are planning to take advantage of everything the vibrant seaside town of Brighton has to offer as well as three days of outstanding orthodontic knowledge sharing.  According to conference chair Dr. Simon Watkinson: “Brighton is going to be an absolutely fantastic venue, offering a uniquely exciting location for the conference.  I’m really pleased that some outstanding lecturers both from the UK and abroad have already agreed to present including Dr Nicky Mandall, Dr Ute Schneider, Dr Lorenz Moser, Dr Manuel Nienkemper, Dr Ektor Grammatopoulos and Dr Emmanuel Dumu and we will be releasing more names early in the New Year. We have planned three days of educational content which will include aspirational cases and inspiring orthodontic techniques, but also practical, everyday actions which delegates can get started with straight after the Conference.”

Running from September 24th-26th, Dr. Watkinson underlines how BOC 2026 is the only event in the calendar which brings together orthodontists, general dentists, orthodontic therapists, nurses and those training to join the profession, to learn more about the very latest research findings and orthodontic treatment techniques. “Everyone should ink this date their diaries now because it’s going to be a great opportunity for collaboration at every level. I’d particularly encourage trainees to attend because it will be a golden opportunity for them to speak to and learn from the most inspiring orthodontic exponents in the field: BOC really does bring everyone together.”

Building on last year’s success, the Conference Studio Theatre offers delegates an opportunity to engage with speakers in a more intimate session – with Q&A sessions and more in-depth discussions. “I attended several the Studio Theatre session in Wales and they were very good and well attended. You get a chance to get closer to the speakers, and you can ask them much more detailed questions…you really get a better take on what they believe in and what their theories are,” Dr. Watkinson elucidates.

He adds there are many reasons to attend BOC 2026 – not least the expertise in the spotlight, however, a highlight for him are the networking and social opportunities: “It’s also the place where we take an in depth look at industry developments by giving a platform to clinical innovators to talk about how they have honed their techniques to achieve the very best treatment outcomes, but one of my favourite things about the conference is that it offers a once-a-year opportunity to meet with industry colleagues and friends – some of whom might be local to you, or with whom you liaise regularly, but don’t get to meet in person because so much communication is digital.”

BOC is also home to the largest UK orthodontic exhibition to showcase next-generation treatment and practice workflow technologies and techniques. Dr. Watkinson is looking forward to a close collaboration between sponsors and exhibitors.  “We certainly want to hear from potential sponsors and exhibitors about how we can work together.  We’re expecting to have some great joint ventures and are planning to expand on the Trade Theatre and Passport system to encourage greater engagement between delegates and our sponsorship partners”.
