A brand ambassador for Curaprox, Dr Onkar Mudhar is passionate about supporting his patients and providing a continuity of care from his base in London. He shares the motivations that brought him into the orbit of dentistry:
“I have always enjoyed helping people; providing that long-term support that can extend across generations when treating families. One of my aspirations in dentistry is changing the perception that patients have towards the profession, whether that’s finding it scary as a child or painful as an adult. As a dentist, I am always trying to redefine these expectations and make dental appointments relaxed and comfortable; putting patients out of their pain by providing the oral hygiene solutions that truly make a difference.”
Brushing up on Curaprox
Dr Mudhar’s path has been entwined with that of Curaprox from a young age. He expands:
“I graduated in 2019 and since 2021 have been collaborating with Curaprox. I knew them first as a consumer – in dental school I saw their products in supermarkets and was drawn to them and, when I was younger, my dad, a semi-retired dentist, also stocked them in his practice.
“Curaprox products are a perfect match of aesthetic and function: they are always eye-catching but back this up with excellent oral hygiene outcomes. For my patients, I will recommend the CPS interdental brushes without a shadow of doubt. Available in five colour-coded sizes, they are really effective at accessing and cleaning the interdental spaces and can be used by a wide array of patients with ease. Unlike other brands, the CPS interdental brushes are designed with patented surgical wire and ultrafine bristles. This creates an umbrella effect so that only one swipe is needed per interdental space. It’s quick without compromising on results.
“The CS 5460 toothbrush is another essential Curaprox creation. Again, the bristles are gentle yet powerful. For perio patients, these bristles really help them in cleaning their sensitive gingivae. For patients with braces, fixed dentures or problematic wisdom teeth, the CS 708 is invaluable. It has a bendable head and seven tufts of the Curenâ filaments, ensuring a comfortable cleaning experience around those difficult areas. This trio of brushes is my Holy Grail for helping patients.”
Making a difference
“The feedback I receive is always welcome. Many patients highlight how aesthetically pleasing the Curaprox products are, from the vibrant colours to the ergonomic handling. As oral healthcare products often look boring and sterile, you can tell that the Curaprox designers know what they are doing – transforming the dental market by giving a pop of colour that makes them more appealing and improving compliancy.”
One aspect of Curaprox that Dr Mudhar is especially invested in is the sustainability of their products. He illuminates the importance of this in 2025:
“Dentistry is often lagging behind when it comes to the number of single-use plastics that are still implemented. As an industry we must be futureproofed and really focus on reducing our carbon footprint. One of the joys of Curaprox is that they are sustainable – if you remove the brushes from the CS 5460 toothbrush then the plastic body can be recycled. Not only this, but Curaprox brushes are high-quality and built to last, meaning a longer service life and fewer purchases.
“These are just some of the many reasons why Curaprox is a brand to rally around – their commitment to a healthier world extends beyond the oral cavity. By listening to both patients and dental professionals, the team have everyone’s best interests at heart, and their range of products are a perfect mix of quality and affordability. Even just displaying some of the colourful brushes in the dental practice makes a difference, attracting the attention of patients and bringing some extra brightness to the building. For those looking to make a difference in their patients’ oral health, I highly recommend the Curaprox product range.”
