A new five-part CPD series designed specifically for dental hygienists and dental therapists has been launched on Dental Protection’s The Learning Hub.
The series focuses on the real challenges faced by dental hygienists and dental therapists in practice. Each course also provides verifiable CPD to support professional development and help meet GDC requirements.
The courses include:
- Safeguarding children
- Tooth whitening and what the law permits
- Protected titles
- Wrong tooth extraction and duty of candour
- The ‘black triangle’ and informed consent
Dr George Wright, Dental Director at Dental Protection, said: “We are pleased to launch this new series for dental hygienists and dental therapists, to help build confidence in decision making, patient communication, and professional responsibility.
“Each course in this series uses realistic scenarios that will help dental hygienists and dental therapists strengthen understanding of scope of practice, navigate complex clinical and ethical situations, communicate effectively and confidently with patients and stay aligned with GDC expectations and professional standards.
“All courses available on The Learning Hub are included at no extra cost for Dental Protection members and can be accessed on demand.”
